Men have always had the opportunity to take part in any art form.
Women were only limited to portraiture, specifically portraiture in royal courts.
Black art cannot look like white art.
There is this need to maintain a distinction of the "other" in the art world that still persists to this day. We have always have needed a separation of what is art and what is female art and what is Black art.
